The Restaurants
Montrio.
In a delightfully updated, historical Monterey firehouse;
Montrio features innovative dishes like Dungeness Crab Cakes with
spicy remoulade, Oven-Roasted Portabella Mushroom with ragout of
vegetables and the taste-tempting Hazelnut Mint Vacherin, this
bistro with big-city ambience has quickly become Monterey's favorite
restaurant for all occasions.
Stokes Adobe
171 years of vibrant history! Stokes, as an
adobe landmark in Old Monterey, is the ideal backdrop for Chef
Brandon's rustic food. The interior layout of booths and banquettes
brings a subtle intimacy to the dining space. The stencil design and
decorative painting by artist Daniel Peterson add an ethereal
dimension to the building. His "distressed renaissance style of
ornamental painting" bathes the building in the gold, sun-drenched
warmth of an aged European villa. |
